Delivery & Freight Charges

Waterbeds Australia will endeavour to have most goods in stock and ready for immediate delivery. Transit times may vary depending on the goods purchased and the delivery location. Your choice of carrier and service will determine your delivery time frame. Regional, rural and some suburban locations may attract longer transit times.

If despatch or delivery is subject to extended delays, Waterbeds Australia will endeavour to contact you and offer any available alternative options. All transit times are estimates provided by the freight companies and are outside of Waterbeds Australia's control. Waterbeds Australia will not take responsibility for and delays incurred through the chosen freight service and freight carrier. Actual shipping charges for all complete waterbeds, bulky items and cartons will be individually quoted depending on the destination and delivery speed required by the end customer. A personalised shipping link/email may be created and sent to the end customer for every individual order of waterbeds and bulky items, where required.

Shipping charges for all items to remote areas may incur additional charges and will be quoted on accordingly. We reserve the right to adjust and pass on all freight charges incurred in delivering orders to their destinations. We will always notify the end customer and await confirmation and payment of any extra shipping charges before sending any orders. We reserve the right to refuse delivery to specific locations for items we deem at high risk of loss or damage, and also to areas that are inaccessible with standard courier and delivery services. In this case, you may choose to have an item delivered using your own courier or freight service, in which case all insurance for loss or damage to the order caused by the delivery will be your responsibility. 

 Delivery Failure

It is important that you verify your information is correct before placing your order, especially your delivery address. If the address provided is incorrect and the package is returned, you will be billed for the additional shipping charges in order for your delivery to reach you. You agree to this by placing an order with us, we reserve the right to pass on applicable charges to you if you provide wrong address information. We also require a contact phone number, which may be used by the freight carrier to arrange delivery.

 Damage in Transit 

Unfortunately, items are occasionally damaged in transit.  If an item arrives and the packaging or the item itself is clearly and significantly damaged, you should take photos or a video showing the damage, refuse to accept the delivery and contact us immediately. We will share your feedback with the freight carrier and suppliers to ensure our service and the quality of packaging is improved.  If you notice that, an item is damaged after it has been delivered to you, please take photos or video clearly showing the damage and contact us as soon as possible, within 3 business days of receiving your delivery.  The type of remedy we offer will depend upon the circumstances. We will work collaboratively with you to find an outcome.
